Sam Burgess is a former professional rugby league player from England. He was born on December 14, 1988 in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. Burgess is known for his physical playing style and versatility on the field, having played as a prop, second-row, and centre throughout his career.
Burgess began his professional rugby league career in 2006 with the Bradford Bulls, before joining the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL in 2010. He quickly established himself as a star player in the NRL, earning numerous accolades and helping lead the Rabbitohs to victory in the 2014 NRL Grand Final.
In 2014, Burgess made the switch to rugby union, joining the Bath Rugby club in England and earning a spot on the England national team. He represented England in the 2015 Rugby World Cup, but ultimately returned to rugby league in 2016, rejoining the Rabbitohs.
